Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Phaselapse (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License to Use the App

Beacon Light Investments grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Phaselapse on devices you own or control, for your own business or personal use, subject to the App Store's or Google Play's applicable usage rules.

3. Your Content

Everything you enter into Phaselapse — photos, project records, captions, business profile details, and generated reports — is yours. It is stored locally on your device. Phaselapse has no account system and no cloud sync; we do not access, host, or claim any ownership over your content. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

4. Free Tier and Purchases

Phaselapse is free to download and use. The free tier is limited to one active project, up to 10 stored photos, and watermarked sample reports and time-lapse previews. "Phaselapse Pro" removes these limits and unlocks full, unwatermarked PDF reports, time-lapse export, batch editing, and advanced search, through either an auto-renewing monthly subscription, an auto-renewing yearly subscription, or a one-time, non-recurring "Lifetime" purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew for additional periods of the same length unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — Beacon Light Investments cannot cancel it for you. All purchases are billed and processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are governed entirely by the App Store's or Google Play's own refund policies; Beacon Light Investments does not process payments or refunds directly.

If a subscription lapses or is not renewed, any projects, photos, and reports you already created remain fully intact and visible — free-tier limits only ever restrict adding something new (a project, a photo, an unwatermarked export) going forward, and never delete or hide content you already have.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except as permitted by law, and not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.

6. Documentation Disclaimer

Phaselapse is a photo documentation and reporting tool: it records the photos, captions, and dates you enter, in your own words. It is not a substitute for a professional inspection, a licensed certification, or any legal or regulatory documentation your work may require, and it does not verify, certify, or guarantee the accuracy of anything you record. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the records you create and for meeting any documentation requirements that apply to your work, including for insurance, warranty, or client-dispute purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon Light Investments shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any loss of data stored on your device, or any dispute, claim, or loss arising from a report or record generated by the App.

9. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. If these Terms change materially, the "Effective date" above will be updated. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Data already stored locally on your device remains yours; use "Delete My Data" in Settings to remove it. Deleting the App or your data does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
