Privacy Policy

Phaselapse ("the app") is developed by Beacon Light Investments. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
The Short Version
Phaselapse does not collect your data. Everything you create in the app — photos, project records, captions, and business profile details — stays on your device. The app has no account system, no cloud sync, and makes no network requests of its own.
What the App Accesses on Your Device, and Why

None of this leaves your device automatically. Every photo you add has its embedded metadata — including GPS location and device identifiers — removed as it is stored; only the photo's capture date is kept, as the app's own record.
What Leaves Your Device, and Only When You Ask
- A PDF report you choose to share or print.
- A backup file you choose to save or send.
- A time-lapse you choose to export.
Each of these goes out through your device's own share sheet, to a destination you pick. Phaselapse itself never uploads any of them to us or to anyone else.
If you restore a backup file that lives in a cloud folder (Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud Drive), your operating system may need to download it first. That is your device fetching a file you explicitly selected — Phaselapse still makes no network request of its own to do this.
In-App Purchases
Phaselapse offers optional subscriptions and a one-time unlock through Apple's App Store or Google Play billing systems. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple or Google — Phaselapse never receives, stores, or processes your payment details. We only receive confirmation from the platform that a purchase was made, which is stored locally on your device to unlock the corresponding features.
What We Don't Do
- No analytics.
- No advertising or ad networks.
- No crash-reporting service.
- No third-party trackers of any kind.
- No account, sign-up, or email capture.
- No data is sold, rented, or shared with any third party, because none is collected in the first place.
Deleting Your Data
"Delete My Data," available at any time in Settings, permanently and instantly erases every project, photo, thumbnail, caption, and preference stored by the app on your device. This happens entirely on-device with no server round-trip. It does not affect an active subscription or purchase, which is a record held by Apple or Google, not by Phaselapse.
Children's Privacy
Phaselapse is a professional tool for contractors and tradespeople and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information at all.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new effective date.
